AmbassadorHave you ever thought about how your house, children and appearance reflect upon your husband? Did you ever think about how you look when you go to the store and run your errands during the week as a way of people developing an opinion about you, your home, your Faith and your husband? I honestly never thought about the way I look when I am out as a reflection of my spouse. I was thinking about the scripture 2 Corinthians 5:20 “So we are Christ's ambassadors, God making His appeal as it were through us. We [as Christ's personal representatives] beg you for His sake to lay hold of the divine favor [now offered you] and be reconciled to God.” I took that from the Amplified Bible. Notice that it says WE are Christ's Ambassadors. In other words we represent him to the rest of the world. People are watching us. But the same holds true for our husbands. WE (the wives) are our husband's ambassadors. We are their representatives when we are out by ourselves or running errands without them. The way people look at us and think about us reflects on our husband's just as it does on God. This week I have realized that if I am not looking my best when I'm out most likely people are not going to think the best about my husband. If I have a bad attitude toward someone in public, it does not reflect well on Andy. It is my responsibility to make sure that I represent my husband well. I know there are still changes in my life that I need to make to
ensure that I reflect well on my husband and our heavenly Daddy, like
organizing my time better, and dealing with people with a Godly
attitude. But this is an ongoing thing. It is a daily effort we have to
put forth just like living in our Faith. Copyright © Dianna Auton, Wives of Faith
