Wives of Faith Monthly Challenge

Each month we will feature a new challenge for Wives of Faith readers. This challenge will help us focus on one area in particular each month. The goal is to create better habits as wives, and begin to change how WE do things instead of trying to change our husbands.

Why a MONTHLY challenge?

We believe that it takes time to form a habit...good or bad. It has been said that it takes about 3 weeks to form a habit. With a monthly challenge, it gives Wives of Faith plenty of time to build good habits within their marriage. Good habits are very important to maintaining a happy, healthy, and fulfilling marriage.

Wives of Faith Monthly Challenge will also be featured on our message boards to encourage discussion, accountability, prayer, and for moral support.

On the first day of each month we will feature a new challenge for Wives of Faith. So, check back monthly.

WIVES OF FAITH MONTHLY CHALLENGE

August 2007 - Prayer

This month's Wives of Faith challenge is from Lara Velez, founder of Wives of Faith.

Pray is vital to your marriage.

What Prayer Does:

• Prayer is the key to conflict resolution.
• Prayer gives you strength to make it through trials.
• Prayer is our time to speak to Daddy.
• When we pray, God LISTENS!
• Prayer in faith moves mountains.

"Call to Me and I will answer you and show you great and mighty things, fenced in and hidden, which you do not know (do not distinguish and recognize, have knowledge of and understand)." - Jeremiah 33:3

The Prayer Challenge:

1. Make a commitment to pray for your marriage EVERY day.
2. Whenever possible, pray with your husband about your marriage.
3. Pray for your husband, his struggles, his faith, and his walk daily.
4. Pray that God helps you with YOUR issues and expectations.
5. BELIEVE what you pray WILL come to pass! (Mark 11:24)

Prayer is the only thing that has helped my marriage. It has helped me through many dark times and I am convinced it has protected my husband and our marriage from destruction!
